The Dallara Academy is an educational and display building with a daring design. Founded to spread and share the wealth of knowledge and know-how created in over 46 years of experience – according to the idea of the company founder Giampaolo Dallara – as well as to enable visitors to see and to understand the cars themselves and the history of the brand Dallara.

The Dallara Academy, commissioned by Mr. Giampaolo Dallara, consists of two floors connected by a large curved glazed ramp that can be visited by guests. On the ground floor there are the spaces dedicated to reception and to the educational labs for schools; while the first floor hosts the area dedicated to the university students and an auditorium for conferences and meetings.

The unusual structure of the building can be defined as a “harmonious togetherness of mechanical parts” where each element used has a specific function. The core idea of the building is to link the company competences with the external environment. This goal is represented by the originality of the building itself – characterized by a curved wall with  glass paneling that looks out onto the landscape and the three gold cones which host the university lecture rooms.

Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia was entrusted for the designing and building of the Dallara Academy; he was the winner of the private contest, held on invitation basis only, used to find the best architect to create the dream and idea of Giampaolo Dallara. The innovative quality of the project does not go unnoticed and in September 2017 it won the Best Future Building award at the ABB Leaf Awards in London.
