We are looking for a person to join the Production Planning Department at Dallara Compositi. The successful candidate will have the opportunity, through an internship experience, to manage a racing project. He/her will monitor the progress of the orders, by planning and coordinating the activities between Production, Technical, Commercial, and Purchasing Department. He/her will have to liaise with the customer in order to agree on deliveries and update him on the advancement of the individual orders. Specifically, he/her will take care of project management, starting from the arrivals of the order, passing through the organization of production phases in compliance with the drafted planning, until delivery of the component to the customer.

Mechanical Engineer

Junior Mechanical Engineer

Plybook Specialist

We are looking for a person to join the Dallara Research Center on Composite Materials.. The succesfull candidate will have the opportunity to deepen the theme of composite materials with the aim of suggesting the most suitable, he/her will optimize joints to promote coherence between structural requests and process optimization in order to obtain lightweight, performing and inexpensive structures. A fundamental feature of the role will be the collaboration with the Design Office and the Structural Analysis area to find the right compromise between design, sizing and manufacturability. The selected person will also work alongside colleagues in the prototyping and production areas (mainly lamination) to follow the production validation of the first prototypes.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering or ITS Diploma with specialization in Composite Materials
- Experience of at least 1 year in the field of composite materials
- Good knowledge of CAD tools (knowledge of CATIA will be a preferential title)

Junior Structural Analyst - Passive Safety

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to become part of Dallara's Structural Performance - Passive Safety department. Specifically, the selected resource will deal with the study and development of the main safety structures for both racing and high-performance road cars. He/her will have the opportunity to be an active part in the definition of structural performance throughout the design flow of the components: from the setting and concept phase to the final prototype phase. Through implicit and explicit linear and non-linear analyses, he/her will be able to identify the guidelines for the design of chassis and energy absorption structures for racing cars. In the automotive sector, through the in-depth use of explicit non-linear analyses and the management of complex models of complete cars (full scale), he/her will be able to identify the best guidelines to manage and optimize crash behaviour with the aim of achieve the main homologation requirements imposed by the most important international protocols.

CFD Methodologist

Our CFD methodology is a fundamental part to the aerodynamic development of each car, not only from the process point of view, to speed up and make each phase more efficient, but also from the product point of view, in order to be more accurate in describing the aerodynamic behavior of the car. We are therefore growing our CFD methodology group to enhance our CFD tools and ensure that every CFD test is as effective as possible in understanding the car behavior and reaching aerodynamic targets and performance.
The candidate will have a MSc Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, (preferably in Aerospace Engineering) with a strong background in turbulence modelling and CFD methodology.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFD tools and workflow.
  • Support and optimize existing CFD tools including monitoring and resolving issues.
  • Work with senior CFD engineers and aerodynamicists to understand correlation aspects and develop methods and processes to improve this.
  • Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are state of the art and aligned with the capability of the tools.
  • In the senior role you will be expected to provide guidance to other engineers and take a lead in key aspects of the group’s work.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good team player and able to work effectively with other groups.
  • Experience applying CFD knowledge to drive effective engineering solutions.
  • Proven ability to work at a fast pace and to react rapidly to new information.
  • Experience of Python, Java, C++, and Unix shell scripting would be beneficial.
  • Experience of Ansys software (Fluent and Fluent-Meshing), ANSA, and Creo PTC would also be beneficial, but not essential.
  • F1 experience would be advantageous but not essential.
