NTT INDYCAR SERIES
The history of Dallara in America begins in1996 in the INDYCAR SERIES (formerly known as the Indy Racing League) championship. The first victory dates back to the Phoenix race, with Jim Guthrie crossing the finish line driving the Dallara IR7; the succeeding victory at the iconic Indy 500 in 1998, with Eddie Cheever at the wheel of the Dallara IR8-Oldsmobile Aurora, marks the successful entry into the American racing world. In 2012, Dallara became the official chassis supplier for the INDYCAR SERIES. To ensure the success of the IndyCar program, Dallara always has a team of engineers on track to assist all the teams in the series. In 2018, Dallara issued a universal aero kit (AK-18) for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. In 2020, Dallara, in collaboration with INDYCAR, Red Bull Advanced Technologies, PPG, and Pankl, developed the safety initiative - The Aeroscreen. The frame is made from five pieces of 3D-printed titanium and the screen is heated polycarbonate. 2023 marks the company’s 27th consecutive season with INDYCAR. 

 

INDY NXT Presented by Firestone 

Indy NXT series (formerly known as Indy Lights Series), the final step in the Road to Indy before reaching the pinnacle of the North American open-wheel racing ladder — the INDYCAR SERIES. All the cars in the Indy Lights series, known at the time as the IRL Infiniti Pro Series, were Dallara IL-02 chassis equipped with TWR/Infiniti engines. With a growing interest in the chassis development, especially on the safety aspects, Dallara was confirmed as the official sole chassis supplier for this spec series, starting in the 2015 season with the Dallara IL-15.   
 

 

IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship

From 2017 to 2022, Dallara, in partnership with General Motors and Cadillac, developed the Cadillac DPi for the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship Series. As the chassis supplier for the Cadillac DPi, Dallara had a successful run throughout the program/classes’ lifespan. The Cadillac DPi, made its debut at the 2017 Rolex 24 and placed first on podium. Wins followed at the same venue in 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2023, the LMDh class was introduced to the IMSA Series, where Dallara manufactures the Cadillac V-LMDh and BMW M-LMDh. Along with the IMSA Series, GM debuts in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Hypercar class with the No. 2 Cadillac V-Series. As in all its other motorsport programs, Dallara provides support to all the teams competing with the Dallara LMDh chassis with a team of engineers and spare parts at every race of the season.
