The history of Dallara in America begins in1996 in the INDYCAR SERIES (formerly known as the Indy Racing League) championship. The first victory dates back to the Phoenix race, with Jim Guthrie crossing the finish line driving the Dallara IR7; the succeeding victory at the iconic Indy 500 in 1998, with Eddie Cheever at the wheel of the Dallara IR8-Oldsmobile Aurora, marks the successful entry into the American racing world. In 2012, Dallara became the official chassis supplier for the INDYCAR SERIES. To ensure the success of the IndyCar program, Dallara always has a team of engineers on track to assist all the teams in the series.
