Planner/Buyer 

The Planner/Buyer is responsible for supporting supply plans, translating demand into creating orders to support production, including materials management, work-in-process, excess, and obsolete inventory.  
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Order and maintain adequate material volume on-site in advance of production according to upcoming build schedule
  • Set-up and maintain material, supplier, and planning system date in the ERP system
  • Assist in the sourcing, negotiations, and selection of vendors that meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained
  • Actively interact with manufacturing, quality, warehouse to solve any material issues and react to consumption patterns
  • Exercise a good working knowledge of products and sources of supply to assist with making purchases at prices consistent with quality and quantity requirements
  • Determine material requirements from Engineering and production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials through production cycle
  • Actively interact with manufacturing, quality, warehouse to solve issues and react to consumption patterns

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of materials and ability to read technical drawings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Experience with or knowledge of ERP systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
  • 1-3 years of related experience a plus

Sr. Simulation and Performance Engineer 

This position leads the Driver in the loop activities and track performance area in Dallara USA, an area that is part of the Vehicle Dynamics and Performance Department of the Dallara Group.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics
  • Experience with calculation software (Python, Matlab, Simulink or similar) and
  • Work experience with full scale vehicle testing
  • Experience with control systems
  • Work experience with Aerodynamic test (wind tunnel, CFD) preferred 
  • Knowledge of tire modeling
  • Previous experience in data analysis software (Pi Toolbox, Atlas, Motec, etc).
  • On-track race engineering experience in motorsports, a plus.
  • Resourcefulness, professionalism, strong predilection for teamwork, open and optimistic character 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact well with others 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Vehicle Engineering or related degree program
  • Extensive coursework in Vehicle Dynamics  
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in similar role
