Composite Materials Planner and Technician

Job Summary:
This position will work in the Composites Production Department, in tight collaboration with the supply chain group and the technical offices. The main responsibilities are the sourcing, control, cutting, and distribution of Dallara’s composite materials to the different production areas and suppliers, according to production schedules and customers priorities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•    Schedule incoming composites work with the supervisor and production planning department
•    Ensure materials are sourced in a timely manner and ready for production
•    Maintain composite materials inventories 
•    Assist with the tracking, recording, and documenting work, materials, and products
•    Operate measuring tools, cutting tools, and various other equipment
•    Maintain equipment and tools
•    Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and technical data sheets
•    Follow standard document procedures, including filling out Travelers and initialing paperwork
•    Knowledge of Vacuum bag processing, bonding, oven/autoclave curing, compression molding, post production processing such as demolding, trimming, grinding, sanding, cutting, drilling, countersinking, and cleaning
•    Knowledge of basic safety procedures and utilization of personal protective equipment 
•    Work efficiently and effectively with extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of excellence
•    Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures

Physical Requirements:
•    Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch. Constant standing throughout the shift is required.
•    Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
•    Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Education and Experience:
•    Minimum of high school diploma or GED, some relevant college, helpful
•    Preferred experience of at least 2 years working with composite materials
•    Experience in the motorsports industry working with composites is a plus
